Welcome

Delhi Public Schools Society (DPSS), is a registered society which owns the brand name Delhi Public School (DPS). DPS, today, is the largest chain of schools in India and abroad. DPSS established its first school, Church High School, in 1941, in the President’s Estate. Post-independence, Naveen Bharat School was set-up and in 1949, was rechristened Delhi Public School, with its present location on Mathura Road, New Delhi.

The second DPS was started in Ram Krishna Puram, New Delhi, in 1972. Over the last seven decades, DPSS has grown from strength-to-strength, with currently 135 schools, not just in India, but also internationally. DPSS aims to preserve and enhance the highest standards of excellence and prepare generations for the future. The philosophy of DPSS is carefully ingrained in its students, by way of sensitising them to environmental concerns and inculcating in them the feeling of nationalism and communal harmony.
Takshila Educational Society, formed in 1997, set-up its first Delhi Public School at Patna, Bihar, in 1998. It has never looked back since. With the active collaboration and support of DPSS, TES established Delhi Public School Pune in 2003 and Delhi Public School Ludhiana in 2004. The four K-12 schools of TES have a combined student strength of over 9000 and a faculty of nearly 375. The overwhelming response to its institutions from the citizens and students has encouraged TES to reach for greater heights. With the establishment of its fourth initiative – Delhi Public School Coimbatore – TES aims to complete a full circle, with schools in India’s East, West, North and South. DPS Coimbatore, in the first year of its inception, offers schooling from Nursery to Class V. It will go on to become a K-12 School in successive years and will be affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi.
